UCT School of Education Turns 100.
2011 is the 100th year since the appointment of the First Chair of Education. The School is a largely post-graduate interdisciplinary department in the Faculty of Humanities with research activity across a number of important fields.

Professor Stuart Saunders’ 80th Birthday Celebration. Professor Saunders, Warden of Driekoppen from 1967 to 1974 and later distinguished Vice-Chancellor and President of the Convocation of the University of Cape Town is celebrating his 80th birthday this year. UCT organized campus events “celebrating the Saunders’ years”.
